A captivating acoustic duo fronted by extraordinary award-winning vocalist, Lisa Nicole, and distinguished acoustic guitar player, Daren Swanson.
The group has been aired on radio stations across Canada and has been well received by thousands of people all over Ontario.
Alchemy has performed at casinos, private parties and weddings, but specialize in the corporate world. Their level of professionalism precedes almost all other bands on the market.
Lisa Nicole - Vocals
This beautiful Brampton Ontario native has a passionate voice that commands the attention and respect of the lucky souls seated before her. Lisa’s gift is her ability to remain unafraid when showing her true self while performing.
Lisa’s talent emerged early, at the age of 6 months, when she surprised her parents with a memorable rendition of the Meow Mix commercial! Although she didn’t speak her first words until 2 years, music spoke to her and inspired this young heart to improve the quality of her voice at 5 years old after hearing the Broadway performance of Annie. The show inspired her to learn every word and note of the soundtrack with over 6 hours of practice per day.
Lisa learned from her mentors, Sarah McLachlan, Chantal Kreviazuk and Celine Dion and created her own style that carried her gracefully through various high school musicals and a brilliant performance of Christine Daae in the Phantom of the Opera in LA. A brief stay in Australia that earned her $1700/night singing at a nightclub was followed by her return to Canada where she won 8 singing competitions!
Daren Swanson - Guitar and Vocals
Daren Swanson was born in Hearst and raised in Timmins, Ontario. At age 12 his hands and heart first picked up a guitar and from that moment on he knew he had to make his mark in the arts of music. He had the unique fortune at the age of 15 to be one of 10 finalists along with Shania Twain in the Northern Star Search Competition.
As Daren's passion for music grew, so did his realization that money was a necessity. He went to university to become a chemical engineer and worked with explosives in North Bay for a year after graduating. While in North Bay, Daren had a "blast" with his first original band, Suspicious Fish, and played every opportunity he could find.
Fortunately, frustrated at being unable to find employment in his field during the recession of the early 1990's, he decided to pursue music full-time... much to the scrutiny of his friends and family. He persevered and currently plays 3-5 times per week in clubs and for private parties in Southern Ontario.
He is a much wanted, and much valued commodity to his clients, and anyone who has ever had the opportunity to hear him play... understands that their lives have been touched by the gentle soul of pure music. His original songs and cover songs are delivered with passion and unforgettable style.
